Our Services / The UN Convention governs the rights of persons with disabilities—a group that, according to the text of the Convention, also includes persons with mental illnesses.
As the LOK Association, we must ask ourselves how we can best implement the requirements of the
UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (> To the Convention) through the services we provide. Living in specialized residential facilities and working in sheltered employment projects does not align with the UN Convention. Nevertheless, within the scope of our capabilities, we strive to offer a variety of housing options that meet the wishes and needs of our clients. Three of our employment projects operate within the service sector.
In early 2015, the LOK Association decided to hire EX-IN staff members. These individuals have completed either the EX-IN training program or a comparable peer support training course.
In early 2020, an ombuds office was established to assist clients in upholding their rights.
