Beschäftigungsprojekte, LOK Couture, das LOKal, unverblümt LOK Employment projects are an offer for people with mental illnesses who wish to pursue employment where they are supported by caregivers according to their personal needs. Working in an employment project is not a regular employment relationship subject to social security contributions, but rather a structured daily routine under the Vienna Equal Opportunities Act. Here, people can find activities that match their interests and in which they can learn new things. In addition to learning work techniques and developing new career prospects, new social contacts can be established. More information There are four employment projects. We sell beautiful women's and men's outerwear, shoes, bags, belts, hats, and scarves. Our merchandise is obtained exclusively through donations. The items are washed, cleaned, repaired, and ironed in an environmentally friendly manner. Through your donation, you make an effective contribution to environmental protection, as all the clothing is given a second life. Furthermore—depending on individual interests and skills—original products are designed and subsequently sold in the shop. The "self-made" range at LOK Couture includes, for instance, (printed) bags, clothespins, jewelry, and paper lampshades. The proceeds benefit the project and its supported staff in their entirety. Shared Living Communities / In these shared living communities, people with mental illnesses who are not (yet) able to live in their own apartments find a home. Residents may live in the shared housing community either permanently or temporarily, until they wish to change their living situation. Each community accommodates between 7 and 12 residents. Every resident has a private room, while common areas are shared by all. This arrangement offers opportunities to spend time with housemates as well as the option to retreat for privacy. Each shared housing community is supported by a team of caregivers. These caregivers provide residents with round-the-clock assistance in all areas of daily life where support is desired. > More Information REGISTER

> Unvarnished LOK > The LOKal > LOK Couture > Sofienalpe The Sofienalpe employment project is a small project on the outskirts of Vienna and has a large outdoor area, green spaces and flowerbeds that are planted and cultivated. Depending on the season, this results in a range of gardening activities such as planting, sowing, watering, harvesting, weeding, etc. The produce from the garden is used for cooking in the employment project. Lunch is bought and cooked together daily. Cleaning and maintenance tasks in and around the house are a regular part of the responsibilities.
